Xiaomi Patents Smartphone Design With Solar Panel

A. Xiaomi Mobile Software had filed a patent application with the WIPO ( World Intellectual Property Office ), obtained by Let's Go Digital on July 27, 2018, for a smartphone having a solar cell module with 4 curved edges.

B. In the sketch there is no sign of notch display, pop-out camera, water - drop display. So there are more possibilities of having an under - display camera with a full screen display.

C. You can also see a USB Type - C port at the bottom edge of the phone.

D. On the rear side, it has a dual camera with LED flash at the centre , which has a larger bump than the device's solar panel.

E. The area of the solar energy reception or solar panel covers 70% of the rear side, and helps in charging while exposing the device to the sun ,so that you can move in sunlight without the need of an A.C. adapter. This will also help in longevity of the battery. Considering these things, we can say that the device is eco - friendly.

F. There is no sign of fingerprint sensor i.e. mounted either on front or on the rear side of the camera, so there are more chances of having an in - display fingerprint sensor.
